 Ángel shows you her exquisite skills to Death Battle

Summary

Nothing is much known about Ángel's past but what we do know is that she was a cyborg made from NESTS. She participated in The King of Fighters 2001 tournament, she was a member of NESTS that was in Team NESTS with others such as Kula Diamond, Foxy, and K4999. The team purpose of the 2001 tournament was to dispatch rogue creations that escape from NESTS, and also destroy Kyo Kusangai and Iori Yagami. When the winners of the 2001 tournament, Team Hero(K’, Maxima, Whip, and Lin) reached Igniz via blimp, K9999 and Ángel attacked and fatally injured Foxy which led to Kula attacking the two. After the NESTS base in space crashed into the ocean and Kula(also Ron) saved Team Hero, Ángel stayed behind and destroyed the NESTS base for good while K9999 left on the Ikari Warriors helicopters. Because she defected, Ángel was on the run from NESTS loyalists on her own since her friend, K9999 mysteriously disappeared. Before the fourteenth tournament of KOF, she met Ramón and King of Dinosaurs, who she joined easily since she was tired of being in the shadows and wanted something to do for fun. She likely met NESTS’s rejected agent, Sylvie Paula Paula and Kula Diamond once again. In KOF 15, it has been revealed that Ángel has been helping K9999 to evade surveillance and helping behind the scenes. Now K9999, under the new name Krohnen McDougall, both joined the tournament with Kula, who left Team K’ due to an argument with K’, to fight against Team K’. In their ending, they give back Kula to Foxy and Diana(Kula’s caretaker) which a fight is about to be abrupt, but Kula stops them saying that she was safe. In turn, Krohnen gave Kula the prize money which was going to be used for getting away and told her to get some ice cream, which Kula thanked him as she left with Foxy and Diana. Ángel comments on how much he matured throughout the years, saying that he isn’t the same as before. In the end of their story, they comment on how they will travel around the world, wherever the road takes them.

Abilities

Fighting Style

Ángel fights her opponents with such martial arts as it is called “Perfunctory”((an action or gesture) carried out with minimum of effort or reflection, and uses elements of these martial arts. These two are:

• Muay Thai: An art that is also referred as Thai Boxing, uses stand up striking along various clinching techniques. This discipline is known as the “art of eight limbs” as it uses the fists, elbows, knees and shins. Many other martial arts relate to this such as Musti-yuddha, Muay Chaiya, Muay boran, Muay Lao, Lethwei, Pradal Serey, and Tomoi.
• Wrestling: A combat sport involving grappling techniques such as clinch fighting, throws, takedowns, joint locks, pins, and many other grappling holds. The sport can be used for entertainment or for combat as it comes in many styles such as Freestyle, Greco-Roman, Judo, Sambo, Folkstyle, Catch, Submission, Sumo, Pehlwani, Shuai Jiao and others.

Cybernetic Enhancements

Due to being a cyborg thanks to NESTS with via cybernetics, Ángel’s body is much stronger than an average human. She is able to throw someone heavy as Maxima(483 lbs) and Chang(668 lbs), flexible enough to dodge several attacks such as from Leona, fast enough that she can translocate herself behind her opponent, huge amount of stamina that she would release fatigue toxins after several hours of physical stress, and her dexterity of a 10th rae black belt.

Red Sky

Ángel dashes towards the opponent, putting their leg in a submission hold before launching them in the air. Her Ex variation has her do an elbow drop.

Mad Murder

Ángel grabs the opponent by the head then does a twirl kick with the back of her foot, sending them up in the air.

Unchain

Due to her reflexes and physical performance, Ángel can do a wild and capricious combo! This combo is unpredictable as it can go into many variations, making it hard to predict her next move! Such moves as:

Unchain Start:

• Low: Ángel does a kick towards the shins.
• Heel: Ángel raises her leg high into the air to kick her opponent
• Tornado: Ángel does a high kick to her opponent, hitting them twice.
• Blow: Ángel stomps the ground before punching the opponent in the gut. This move can crush a guard or make them crumple in the ground via EX.
• Step: Ángel translocates herself towards her opponent or either behind them.

Unchain Circle:

• Upper: Ángel raises her arm into the air striking the opponent’s face.
• Sobat: Ángel raises her leg into the air hitting the opponent’s face.
• Under Blow: Ángel does a downward fist attack hitting the opponent’s gut.
• High: Ángel goes to leap into the air to kick the opponent's face.
• Hammer Blow: Ángel crouches low to the ground to punch the opponent’s feat.
• Assault: Ángel jumps forward to kick the opponent in the legs.
• Feint: Ángel jumps in the air and does a twirl, stopping the momentum of her attack.
• Feint (Forward): Ángel jumps in the air and does a twirl while moving forward
• Feint (Backwards): Ángel jumps in the air and does a twirl while moving backwards.

Unchain Finish:

• Lariat: Ángel swings her right arm(a hook) which uppercuts the opponent in the air.
• Straight: Ángel swings her body to do a hook in the opponent’s face, which knocks them away.
• Rolling: Ángel swings both of her legs like a cartwheel like fashion in which this hits the opponent three times.
• Neck Cutter: Ángel jumps on top of the opponent’s head, doing a handstand while doing a pose, then goes to cut the opponent’s neck.
• Grapple Kick: Ángel grabs the opponent then goes to kick them off while striking a pose.

Shatter Strike

A new mechanic introduced in The King of Fighters 15. Ángel uses a kick that ignores any attack. This causes the opponent to collapse.

Super Moves

Real Rave

Ángel does a quick combo using her unchain in which it ends in an uppercut. Another variation is that she does cartwheel, ending it with a heel drop saying “death!”.

Loyalty Test For Liberalists

Ángel does a quick combo using her unchain. In the end, she goes to slash the opponent’s neck, doing a cartwheel, punching them up in the air and punching them away.

Blue Monday Counter

Ángel raises her leg up doing a pose, if attacked she grabs the opponent, bringing them into the air slamming into the ground. Then she ends it with an elbow drop!

Winds Fairground

A non canon move from 2002 and 2002 Unlimited Match. Ángel raises her leg up doing a pose, if attacked she hits the opponent three times in the face, before raising her hand up and punching them again, sending them away. Another version of this, if attacked in the air, she grabs the opponent and slams them down on the ground.

The Unidentified Victim of Consciousness

Ángel raises her leg up doing a pose, if attacked she hits the opponent with a multi hit combo before combining two of her hands to send them up in the air.

Survivor's Banquet

A non canon move from 2002 and 2002 Unlimited match. While the opponent is down, Ángel poses and says,"Can you taste The Angel's extraordinary skill?", mimicking a certain rocky wrestler. She starts dashing left and right similar to a wrestler bouncing off the ropes near the downward opponent. Then she does the electrifying move in fighting game entertainment!! The People’s Elbow!

Ascension Time

Angel does a pose while saying, “This will be fun meow!”, then doing a heel drop on their opponent. If she hits, she picks up the opponent, starts attacking them with multiple attacks. In the middle of them, she gives them a face full of her cleavage, ending it with a RKO-I mean the jumping cutter! While doing this, she says, “I, Angel, am nineteen years old...and a bit of a naughty girl!

Feats

Overall

• Entered such King of Fighters tournaments such as 2001, XIV, and XV.
• Was able to be on the run and avoided NESTS loyalists for so long.
• Is able to fight characters such as Kula Diamond and the rest of Team K’.
• Overwhelmed Leona once she got serious and nearly dealt a finishing blow.
• Faced off against Original Zero(who was soul/spirit via Verse) with help from Maxima, Ralf, Leona, and Xanadu.
• Defeated King of Dinosaurs when Ramón asked her to be the babyface.
• Broke free of NESTS mind control for a few seconds to save children from falling debris.
• Is friends and partners with the Akira ripoff.
• Hardest King of Fighters character to play and master.

Power

• Saved the children from fallen debris from a ship(as shown above), and even thrown it off of her.
• Is able to hold herself in place, while holding Leona, from Original Zero’s Hakura Messei.
• While being mind controlled by NESTS, she was able to do such feats as:
• Cracked the ship’s ground with an elbow drop.
• Run into a fighter jet that got knocked into the ocean, pick one up beside it, and slam it down.
• Damaged and cracked the wall trying to hit Leona.
• Fought and clashed against Orochi Leona.
• Due to such feats such as being able to overwhelm Leona and clash in strength against Orochi Leona, Ángel should scale to:
• Orochi Shermie who can control the weather to create storms in her stage. (32.96 Megatons of TNT)
• Orochi Yashiro has the power of the earth via geokinesis in which he raised a huge amount of lava in his stage. (5.88 gigatons of TNT); Orochi Yashiro is also able to shake all of the lava when he wins
• Comparable to Kula Diamond who froze an area of a port in an instant when she awoke her powers. (2 megatons of TNT)
• Scales above the destruction of South Town via Zero Cannon(17 megatons of TNT)
• She should be comparable to Maxima who can fight characters such as Ryo who is comparable to his own father, Takuma, who can deflect it with a Haoh Shoko Ken.
• In another way, Bao absorbed the blast energy, and shot it right back at the cannon.

Speed

• Fast enough to translocate herself.
• Was quick enough to dodge Leona’s attacks such as Grand Saber, Baltic Launcher, and react to catching her V-Slasher.
• Comparable to Maxima who was able to fight Ryo and move in “1/1000th of a second”
• Maxima was also able to catch a bullet from his bare hands.
• Should be superior to Bao, who shot a beam up in orbit to destroy the Zero Satellite. (0.113c)
• Comparable to characters like Benimaru, who can manipulate electricity and even summon lightning from the sky
• Comparable to fighters like Takuma, who intercepted the Zero Satellite Beam and redirected it (1.53%c of the Speed of Light)
• Superior to Billy Kane who blocked a bullet with his three section staff.

Durability

• Is able to take hits from characters such as Leona, Kula Diamond, Team K, and Original Zero.
  
• Due to the scaling of Leona, she should be able to take hits from characters who can create storms and control the weather.
• Her body is able to endure such as running head first towards a jet and doing an elbow drop on the ship’s floor(see Power in feats section)
• Tougher than characters such as Chang and Choi that are able to survive the Zero Cannon blast head on.
• Comparable to Kula Diamond who not only survived the destruction of the Zero Satellite, but also re-entry from orbit
• Kula also survived a direct blast from a Zero Cannon
• Tougher than Billy Kane, who once survived an orbital strike, for reference these strikes are shown to be this strong (since this took place before KoF: Maximum Impact and he appears alive there we can assume he survived)

Weaknesses

While powerful she may be, Ángel does have some weaknesses. Unfortunately, she hasn’t won a single tournament in KOF even with the teams she has been in so far. Due to not being in a tournament for so long, she doesn’t have much experience compared to other KOF competitors though she can keep up with them. She's a very playful individual as she won’t take fights seriously as she even lets the opponent get some hits in, so a skillful opponent could take advantage of that and defeat her quickly before she gets serious.

Ángel lacks any range attacks so she has to get up close and personal to do some damage, so any fighter with projectiles can out range her.
